Data Scientist

Job Summary

The Data Scientist will play a crucial role in advancing our data analytics capabilities and contributing to upcoming machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) projects. S/he will be responsible for data analysis, quality assurance in ETL/EDW processes, and actively participating in ML/AI initiatives. Such as, development, deployment, and maintenance of machine learning (ML) models and systems.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth data analysis in ETL/EDW processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and implement logical checks to validate and enhance data quality.

Quality Assurance:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test and validate data within our software applications.
  • Identify and implement measures to enhance data accuracy and reliability.

Machine Learning and AI Projects:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of ML/AI projects, aligning with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and domain experts to integrate ML/AI solutions into our software products.

Data Modeling:

  • Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques for data modeling and predictive analysis.
  • Design and implement models to extract valuable insights from large datasets.
  • Optimize models for accuracy, speed, and scalability.
  • Select appropriate model architectures based on the problem at hand.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data science solutions.
  • Collaborate with software developers to integrate data science models into our GRC software.

Research and Innovation:

  • Stay current with advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI.
  • Contribute to the research and development of innovative data-driven solutions.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain documentation for data science models, algorithms, and analysis procedures.
  • Ensure that documentation is accessible and comprehensible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • At least 2+ experience in the related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, quality assurance, and data modeling.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or R.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
