Responsibilities
Customer Communication and Project Management:
- Communicate directly with US-based customers regarding project schedules, project status reports, change requests, and issue resolutions.
- Develop, execute, and maintain project plans to deliver solutions to customers (using GANTT charts and task lists).
- Actively engage in new business scoping & estimating activities, including providing resource estimates & capacity management oversight.
- Ensure the implementation team completes and verifies that deliverables meet customer requirements and timelines.
- Ensure customers complete User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and sign off on the project.
- Transition client and portal to customer support staff upon completion of implementation projects.
Resource Management and Team Coordination:
- Support the scoping of projects by providing project resource estimates.
- Accountable for the on-time and quality delivery of implementation projects.
- Manage team allocation to ensure each associate has a manageable workload.
- Reallocate resources as needed to meet project requirements.
- Work effectively with implementation, support, and development teams to ensure delivery against agreed upon priorities and timelines.
- Determine training requirements and ensure delivery of product training to clients.
Leadership and Mentorship:
- Ensure effective internal communications within the team and across the organization.
- Mentor and help train other project managers as needed.
- Help build processes, templates, and tools to improve the project management program.
- Create, implement, and maintain a continuous improvement plan for resources.
- Ensure that best practices are maintained across the organization.
Experience
- Candidates should have 10+ years’ business experience, with 5+ years managing projects.
- Ideal candidate will have experience managing other project managers.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment as an individual contributor.
- Strong analytical skills to be able to manage complex problems using several techniques.
- Must have strong Project Management experience and experience collaborating directly with customers managing projects and project deliverables.
- Must have experience with Project Management (GANTT charts) and Task Tracking applications. Experience with Asana and Instagantt is a plus.
- Must have experience managing the implementation of software or SaaS applications, preferably business or enterprise applications.
Education
- Graduate BS in Computer Sciences or higher level of education
- PMP Certification is a plus.
Behavioral Traits
- Able to work during US hours (3:00 PM to 12:00 AM Pakistan Time)
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills is an absolute requirement.
- Must have experience working with international customers based in the United States.
- Proficient in business-type communications, such as status reports, issue logs, project schedules, change requests and email communications as well as proactively managing weekly and monthly status calls with US-based customers.
- Must be proficient in project management, including creating and managing GANTT charts, task management, requirements documents and statement of work (SOW) documents.
- Ability to demonstrate influencing and negotiating skills to align several potentially conflicting views with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to develop, coach, and mentor team members.
- Ability to work independently and in time-sensitive environments.
