Technical Content Writer

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
  • Work with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage
  • Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
  • Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and customer e-guides
  • Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
  • Analyze existing content and suggest potential improvements

Required Experience and Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in technical content writing
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics

  • Must have some experience writing content on technical topics centered on B2B style content

  • Ability to work under deadlines and deliver on time
