Job Description: The employee occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near moving mechanical parts, in high, precarious places, with fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment may be loud.

The environment description that the PSM must work in is not even the tough part. They are responsible for PHA action item management, PSI cause and effect diagrams, MOC compliance, coordinating of the development and maintenance of Operating Procedures, and Mechanical Integrity program implementation. They must also conduct training programs, facilitate pre-start up safety reviews, complete compliance audits, etc. etc. etc.

So, what can a PSM do to ensure that they are managing all aspects of their job? They need to utilize a compliance tool to ensure that they are on top of all aspects of their job.

What tool is your company using to track the 14 required elements of PSM?
